Smiling when York replied, Wash nodded to show that he'd heard before turning and heading back inside to wait. He busied himself instead of just standing around waiting though, cleaning up the bags of frozen fruit, putting the yogurt back in the fridge, rinsing out the empty blender... All those important things that left his kitchen neatly organized as per usual. It was mostly the other rooms of his house that were a bit less organized. When he was working, especially when he was really into writing or had something he absolutely had to do at that very minute, papers and pens and whole assortments of things ranging from books to cat toys got spread around. It was sort of an organized chaos. While he wasn't exactly OCD, especially considering he could live with the minor messes, he was pretty anal about organization and cleanliness.
Just finishing up tidying when he heard York step into the kitchen, Wash glanced round and returned the smile. Honestly, he was glad they'd become friendly. Not just because he had a super gross crush on the guy, but because... Well. Okay, maybe Wash didn't have a lot of friends, and didn't really go out much, so it was nice to have a steady amount of social interaction. Plus, York was always nice and relatively well-mannered, and just had this way of making you feel comfortable around him...
"Sort of a mixed berry thing, I guess." Wash replied, glancing down at the smoothies. "I sort of just threw a bunch of fruits in it. Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries..." Trailing off as he continued to stare down at the glasses, he gave a slight shrug before finally glancing back up to York. Smiling again, he held one of the glasses out to the boy. "If it's not a flavour you like though, I can always make a different one. Only takes five minutes, so it's not a big deal."
