Regardless, he holds his pistol up and at the ready and slowly starts moving through the pillars. He steps lightly, not wanting to give away his position, and keeps his eyes sharp. Whenever he's about to cross a gap between pillars, he pauses, puts his back to one pillar so York can't sneak up behind him while he's checking, and looks around in all directions. When the coast seems clear, he hurries quietly across to the next set of pillars, not trusting things to stay quiet for too long.]
